Continental glue for tubulars and carbon rims has been specially designed to resist thermal stress and to the particular properties of the carbon surface.
The heat dissipation of carbon softens conventional glue, particularly on long descents, which means the tubular can detach from the rim. While with the Continental glue this does not happen.
